Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 16, 2026

This policy explains what AmeriClear Tax Relief collects when you use this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Scope of this policy

This policy applies to this website and to the inquiries you send us through it. It describes our practices as a tax resolution and tax preparation firm operating in the United States. If you become a client, information we handle in the course of representing you is also governed by the terms of your engagement agreement and by the confidentiality obligations that apply to that work.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you submit our contact or consultation form, we collect the information you enter — typically your name, email address, phone number, and the approximate range of tax debt you selected. If you call us, email us, or send us documents, we collect whatever you choose to share in those communications.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours records certain technical information when you visit:

  • Your IP address and general location derived from it
  • Device type, operating system, and browser
  • Pages you viewed, links you clicked, and the time of your visit
  • Information collected through cookies and similar technologies, such as pixels and local storage

Marketing attribution information. We record how you arrived at the site so we know which advertising and referral sources actually work. This includes the referring website and any campaign parameters attached to the link you followed, such as UTM tags and click identifiers like gclid.

We do not ask you to submit Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or tax documents through this website. Please do not send that information through the web form. If we need it, we will tell you how to provide it securely.

How we use information

  • To respond to your inquiry and evaluate whether we can help
  • To provide, manage, and perform our services if you engage us
  • To contact you by phone, email, or text message in line with the consent you gave us
  • To operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve this website, and to understand which pages and sources bring us qualified inquiries
  • To keep records, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and comply with legal and regulatory obligations

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent it or trade it, and we do not share it with unaffiliated companies for their own marketing purposes.

We do share information in these limited circumstances:

  • Service providers. Vendors that operate parts of our business under contract — website hosting, our customer relationship management system, call tracking and telephony, email and text messaging delivery, and website analytics. They may use your information only to perform services for us.
  • Legal compliance. When we believe disclosure is required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or is necessary to protect our rights, our clients, or the safety of others.
  • Business transfers. If our business is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
  • With your direction. Where you ask us to share information, such as authorizing us to represent you before a tax authority.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember your session, measure traffic, and understand how visitors use our pages. Some of these are set by analytics and advertising providers we work with, which may allow them to recognize your browser across visits to our site.

Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. If you block cookies, parts of the site may not work as intended. Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal; because there is no common standard for how sites must respond to it, we do not currently respond to those signals.

Marketing communications and your choices

If you asked us to contact you, we may call, email, or text you about your inquiry and our services.

  • Text messages. Reply STOP to any message to stop them. See our SMS Program Terms for details.
  • Email. Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or email us at the address below.
  • Phone. Tell us on any call, or contact us using the details below, and we will remove you from our outreach lists.

Opting out of marketing does not stop messages we need to send about an active engagement — for example, a question about your case, a deadline, or a document we need. Those are service messages, and they continue as long as we are representing you.

Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected — to respond to your inquiry, to provide and support our services, and to keep the business and case records we are required or reasonably need to keep. When it is no longer needed for those purposes, we delete it or otherwise remove its association with you. How long that takes depends on the type of information and the legal, tax, and professional recordkeeping obligations that apply to it.

Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards intended to protect the information we hold against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. We limit access to information to the people who need it to do their work.

Even so, no method of transmission over the internet and no method of electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you send information to us at your own risk. Please do not email sensitive documents or identifiers to us unless we have told you how to do it securely.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over the personal information we hold about you. You can ask us to tell you what we have collected, to correct it, or to delete it, and we will honor those requests as the law requires. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before we act, and we will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.

California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you the following rights:

  • Right to know. To request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, our purposes, and the categories of third parties we disclosed it to.
  • Right to delete. To request that we delete personal information we collected from you, subject to exceptions the law allows.
  • Right to correct. To request that we correct inaccurate personal information about you.
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined by California law. Because we do not do either, there is nothing for you to opt out of — but you may still contact us with questions.
  • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require offering this choice.
  • Non-discrimination. We will not deny you services, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of quality because you exercised your privacy rights.

You may submit a request using the contact details below. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authority.

Other states have privacy laws that provide similar rights, including the right to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising. If you are a resident of one of those states, contact us and we will handle your request under the law that applies to you.

Children’s privacy

This website is intended for adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, or from anyone under 16 for any purpose that would require a parent’s consent. If you believe a minor has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Third-party links

Our site may link to websites we do not operate, including government resources such as IRS.gov. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. This policy applies only to our website. When you follow a link elsewhere, read that site’s privacy policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices, our technology, or the law changes. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If the changes are material, we will take additional steps to notify you where the law requires it. Your continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
